  Construction of Schools

So far MGCL has played vital role in uplifting education facilities by constructing a number of new schools and renovating old school buildings.

In a mega joint venture between MGCL and Pakistan Chemical & Energy Sector Skill Development Company,  a Technical Training Centre has been established at Daharki with approximate cost of 180 Million. MGCL contributed Rs. 30 million for this programme.

  Communication Network

Mari Field areas lie within the vicinity of a desert. Initially there were no roads, depriving the communities from public transportation facilities and networking with other areas nearby. In order to facilitate the locals, MGCL has constructed an excellent and comprehensive road network comprising of:

  • 57 km metalled road.

  • 308 km dirt road.

  • 13 bridges over canals.

  • Total capital expense since inception is Rs. 325 Million.

  • Maintenance & operating expense per year is Rs. 14 Million.

  • Widening/repair of a 12 km long public road is in progress.

  • A better road network also proved to be beneficial for the local farmers.
